Ice concert in the French Pyrinees!(January 2014).

We had three concerts in France last week. All to be held at three different locations up in the high mountains (around 2000 m). A great idea. Unfortunately the weather was really bad with lots of rain/snow and closed roads the two first days, so we had to move some of the concerts indoor. But still: nIce.
Here are some photos from the sessions. The sunny once are from our last day, in Gavarnie. Thanks to Lena Nymark (voice), Eric Mutel (ice carver), Rune Røsten (sound) , Eliane Blin (organizer) & the French sound & lightening crew.

Recording session in Tromsø

Icemusic recordings at The Norwegian Polar Institute in Tromsø this week. Thanks to them we got hold of 100 years old ice from Antarctic (The South Pole!) and 500 years old ice from Arctic glaciers. All used for science.
The sound was amazing. Is to be released on Isungsets new album "Meditations" during spring 2014. All Ice Records.

This is how it looks like: The 100 year old ice from The South Pole.
